  Broughton Hospital Fellowship

"And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8 (NIV)

Rehobeth is blessed to have a congregation that actively volunteers for and helps fund building teams and mission trips in North Carolina, the United States, and throughout the world.  Our youth (Faith Leading Youth) also participate in a mission trip each summer, most recently in Austin, Texas.  Additional places where FLY and other Rehobeth members have served include Gulfport, Mississippi; Costa Rica; Eleuthera Island; Peru; and Cambodia.

Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. - Hebrews 13:1-2 (NIV)

Several times a year, Rehobeth hosts a covered dish luncheon and an afternoon of games and fellowship for patients and staff from Broughton Hospital. It is a special time for all!

The Corner Table     Get Well Blessings for Our Wounded Troops

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink." - Matthew 25:35 (NIV)

Volunteers from Rehobeth serve meals throughout the year at The Corner Table, a soup kitchen in Newton, NC. Members of Faith Leading Youth (FLY) also serve meals during the summer and periodically make bag lunches for The Corner Table's guests, so that they will have healthy food to eat over the weekend.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. - 2 Corinthians 2:3 (NIV)

By arrangement with the military hospital at Camp Anaconda, Rehobeth sends get well cards and notes of encouragement to our wounded men and women.  Simply sign and seal your cards and letters and drop them in the box in the Narthex, and we'll forward them on.

  Seasonal Missions

I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. - 2 Corinthians 11:27 (NIV)

Rehobeth collects non-perishable food items for ECCCM each week.  Look for the collection basket in the Narthex.  Also, during a 4-day period each year, Rehobeth sends volunteers to the ECCCM office in Newton, NC, to sort clothing, foodstuffs, and other items for distribution to the needy.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. - Colossians 3:17 (NIV)

Rehobeth promotes and participates in several projects during the holidays, such as:

  • Buying gifts for children listed on our Angel Tree
  • Filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child
  • Making care packages for nursing home residents
