Announcements
Loaves & Stitches
The Loaves & Stitches group meets the first Tuesday of every month to engage in knitting and crocheting activities. This special group creates a variety of handmade items, including prayer squares, shawls, and blankets, which are often used for prayer, comfort, or as meaningful gifts. They also produce gloves, mittens, and toboggans specifically for foster children in Catawba County. Each item crafted by the group is blessed through prayer, adding a spiritual dimension to their work and emphasizing the caring intent behind their efforts.
The meeting on Tuesday, November 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the church parlor is open to all individuals interested in knitting or crocheting, regardless of experience level. Beginners are warmly welcomed to join and learn. Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!

Countdown to the Barbecue
Rehobeth's annual barbecue will be held on Saturday, November 8. It will be similar to last year’s barbecue in that it will be “Take Out” only, which will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plates that will include barbecue, slaw, baked beans, pickles, roll, and dessert are $15 each. Barbecue sandwiches and dessert are $10 each. Cash and checks will be accepted. (We can no longer take credit or debit cards.) So help spread the word to your friends and neighbors. We DO need donations of homemade desserts, such as unfrosted pound cakes, cookies, brownies, and dessert bars. So be thinking about which of these items you can bake. Please bring all desserts to the fellowship hall on Friday morning, November 7, before 12:00 noon. Thank you!

Fun Timers Head to Big Daddy's
This month, the Fun Timers - a group of adults who are young at heart - will go to Big Daddy's Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Mooresville. We will meet at the restaurant (not at the church) at 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in going, please sign the list in the narthex or on the Fun Timers Facebook page.

Cards & Snacks
All are invited to "Cards & Snacks" on Wednesday, November 12, at 10:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Note that because of the Thanksgiving holiday, we will meet only once this month. So bring some snacks to share and join the fun!

Rehobeth will hold its annual Charge Conference on Sunday, November 16, at 11:15 a.m. in the sanctuary, immediately following the worship service. Pastor Tony will preside. All are invited to stay for the even, but please note that only Church Council members have voting privileges.

Operation Christmas Child
Please note that the absolute deadline to bring your filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child is Sunday, November 16. Place your shoeboxes on the specially marked table. Be sure to include your $10 shipping and handling donation in each box. Thank you for supporting this important mission of Samaritan's Purse - and for bringing light to children in some of the most isolated areas of the world.

Mae Howard Circle
The next meeting of the Mae Howard Circle will be held on Monday, November 17, at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All ladies are cordially invited to join us for a program, meeting, and fellowship.

Third Mile Giving for November
By now, you have probably already heard Pastor Tony talk about the "Third Mile Giving" initiative or have read about it in The Messenger or the Sunday bulletin.

Third Mile Giving Sunday is the third Sunday of every month, where we highlight and take up a special collection for a mission effort.
On November 16, we are asking you to prayerfully consider giving - over and beyond your tithe - to the the Christian Food Pantry and Clothes Closet of Sherrills Ford. This pantry exists to bring glory to God in obedience to our Lord's command to feed the hungry by providing emergency food assistance and helping them connect to the greater resources at Ashure Ministry and the social service network as needed. Quite a few members of Rehobeth are regular volunteers at this very worthwhile mission.

If writing a check, please make the check payable to Rehobeth UMC and write "Food Pantry" on the memo line. Thank you so much for supporting this special mission.
