Announcements
A 6-week Grief Counseling series will meet on Thursdays at 11:00 AM beginning October 1 in the Fellowship Hall. Mike Costner is the facilitator. More details will be available soon.
First Thursday Community Meal will be served on October 1 beginning at 4:30 PM at the Fellowship Hall. Dine in or take out. The menu includes chicken pie, vegetables, and dessert. Those who dine in will also receive a drink and have additional dessert options.
Volunteers are needed on October 5 from 10:30 AM to noon to help organize a few small areas. This will be a tremendous help as we prepare to install new flooring and make other updates. We will be organizing supplies, decor items, craft materials, paper files, and odds & ends. No heavy lifting! We would love to have two or three volunteers for each date.
Painters will be arriving on October 5 to work on the hallway behind the Narthex, restrooms, and adjacent areas. Please avoid those areas. Volunteers coming in to work this day should enter througn the Music Building entrance.
It's Time to Split Wood for Our BBQ. We need a few helpers to join us on Tuesday, October 6th, at 8 AM behind the church at the BBQ shed. Just bring yourself and a pair of work gloves and safety glasses. The men will have a splitter. No chainsaws needed.
The ColeStrong Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, October 19, at the Glen Oaks Golf Club in Maiden. Registration is $75 per person or $300 for a 4-person team and includes a catered barbecue lunch. Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM and shotgun start is at 1 PM. Sponsorships are also available. For registration forms, please contact the church office.
Refresh Rehobeth Church Cleanup Day has been scheduled for Saturday, October 24th from 8:30 AM to 1 PM with a light breakfast provided beginning at 8:30am. We need your help! There will be tasks both inside and outside the church. Something for everyone!. Mark your calendars!
Fall Luncheon Sponsored by the Mae Howard Circle will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 25, immediately following the worship service. This event is a fall favorite! There is no set price for the meal, but donations to support the missions and ministries of the Mae Howard Circle will be greatly appreciated!
Covered Dish Luncheon with speaker Tamika Garrison of Carolina Caring will be sponsored by Te Mae Howard Circle, Fun Timers, and the Wellness Committee on Wednesday, October 28th at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a covered dish to share for our meal!
Looking Ahead
Poinsettia Orders will begin on Sunday, November 1st. Help beautify our church for the Advent season! If you order a poinsettia, you may take it home with you following the Christmas Eve service. More details to follow.
Charge Conference meets Sunday, November 1, in the Fellowship Hall immediately following worship service. This will be a brief meeting.
Rehobeth's Annual Church BBQ is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th. More details will be available soon!
Christmas Memories Tour of Tables, co-hosted the Connor Rec Center Committee and Missions & Outreach, will be Friday, November 20th beginning at 5 PM for the Tour of Tables, catered meal served at 6 PM. Door prizes and silent auction. Sponsor a table (6 seats) for $150 or $25 per seat. Tickets go on sale October 5. Proceeds will benefit our growing Pickleball Ministry as well as the upgrades and outdoor community pickleball courts.
Christmas Cantata will be performed on Sunday, December 13, at 10:00 AM. A Christmas Candy & Fruit Bag buffet will be offered in the Narthex immediately following the service.
