Join Loaves & Stitches
The Loaves & Stitches group will meet on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the church parlor. Please note that this is a change in date from what was previously published. This group makes wonderful items such as prayer squares, blankets, scarves, and hats for the comfort of others, and prays over every piece they make. If you like to knit or crochet--or would like to learn--please join us!

Third Mile Giving
Sunday, April 19, will be our next Third Mile Giving Sunday. This month we are asking you to prayerfully consider giving to our "First Thursday" Community Meal Mission. As many of you already know, our Rehobeth cooks prepare a delicious meal the first Thursday of the month. The meals are given out for free to anyone in the community who drives up to the fellowship hall between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. that Thursday. Many of the meals are delivered by volunteers to the homebound or others in need of nutritious food. An average of 250 meals are served each month. This mission helps alleviate hunger in our area. If writing a check, please make it out to “Rehobeth UMC” with "First Thursday" in the memo line. If giving cash, simply place it in an envelope with “First Thursday” written on the front. Thank you.

Mae Howard Circle
The Mae Howard Circle will meet on Monday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All ladies are invited to attend.

Serving at The Corner Table
Volunteers from Rehobeth Church will be serving lunch at our local soup kitchen, The Corner Table in Newton, on Wednesday, April 22. We need 9 or 10 volunteers that day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to prepare and serve lunch. If you are interested, please contact the church office for more details.

Fun Timers Outing
Gentlemen: Start your engines!!! For all the NASCAR enthusiasts and those that like to have fun, the Fun Timers will be touring JR Motorsports in Mooresville located at 349 Cayuga Dr. on Friday, April 24. The tour begins at 10:30 a.m. However, if you would like to carpool, please meet at the church parking lot at 9:45 a.m. After our visit to the race shop, we will enjoy lunch at the Mooresville Farmhouse restaurant. Please sign up on the Fun Timers Facebook page or the list in the hallway off the narthex if you are interested in going.

Open Mic Night!
Open Mic Night is an opportunity for music and fellowship for the entire community. All are welcome to come to the fellowship hall, enjoy refreshments and a song in your heart. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 starting at 6:00 p.m. We will be treated to the music of “Gospel Melodies,” a very talented trio of young men who play bluegrass music. (You may find them on Facebook under “Gospel Melodies.”) Bring you friends and family to enjoy a night of fellowship and music together.

Looking Ahead

Homecoming Celebration
We are pleased to welcome back Rev. Phil DeBerry as our 2026 Homecoming speaker during the worship service on Sunday, May 3. Phil was the pastor of Rehobeth Church from 1989 to 1998. He and his wife Nancy will join us after the service for a covered dish meal in the fellowship hall. So bring along a couple of your favorite food items to share! Absolutely everyone in invited!

Graduates to be Honored May 3
Also during our Homecoming Sunday service we will be recognizing our graduates. If you know of a church member who will be an upcoming graduate from high school, college, or graduate school or who graduated this past December, please notify the church office as soon as possible. We don't want to leave anyone out! We would also like to have a small photograph of each graduate so that we can prepare a bulletin board for graduation Sunday. Photos are due in the church office by Sunday, April 26.

Rehobeth Welcomes Charlotte Bronze on May 8
We are thrilled to be welcoming the Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble on Friday, May 8, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall! Charlotte Bronze uses a variety of instruments, including five octaves of handbells and chimes, and performs regionally during the Christmas and spring seasons. There is no cost for the concert, but an offering will be taken up voluntarily to help expand the instrumentation and outreach of the ensemble. Please invite your friends and neighbors and prepare to be inspired by this year's them, "Hymn of Grateful Praise."
